STORY
Promoting the Global Development of Sake.
It is consumed by many foreign due to the boom in Japanese food overseas. I would like to do branding to promote sake overseas and make saké more approachable to the foreign consumer.
Create new associations and emotional triggers, so maybe people would bring sake like people bring wine to friend's house party.
BRAND NAME : NEZUKU
NEZUKU (根付く) means “to take root in a place / to become a part of the local culture” in Japan. I chose this name in the hope that the brand will take root in various food cultures and people's lives in that place.
Neck Bottle Logo Design
I decided to combine both Japanese and English languages. For the Japanese language, I designed the logo to resemble a single logo by connecting the Japanese character for sake (sake) with curved lines. By doing so, I was able to distinguish the brand from other sake brands and, at the same time, people will recognize that the brand is made in Japan, even if it is produced overseas.
